TLC triples 'Honey Boo Boo' family's salary

TLC gave Honey Boo Boo and her family a pretty decent raise after the second episode without receiving a request for one, media sources are reporting.

The raise came after the second episode, sources tell TMZ. The family started out at somewhere between $5,000 and $7,000 an episode at the beginning of the series, but after the second episode it became apparent to TLC that they had hit something big. Network executives approached the family soon after and boosted their pay to somewhere between $15,000 and $20,000 an episode.

TLC allegedly offered the family a somewhat larger, more secure home, but mother June Shannon refused, TMZ reports, because she wanted to stay in her home to continue to decorate the house for Christmas for the community.
